These starfish are easy to make from white glue. You can sprinkle them with sand or glitter. They are fun to make great to dress up a package, display, or hang in a window, and the perfect hoilday tree decoration!!

Supplies:

white glue
toothpick
waxed paper
sand or glitter
paper clips
copies of various sized starfish pictures

Working on a piece of waxed paper,with your starfish photocopy underneath (so you can trace it with your glue) squeeze white glue in the shape of the starfish. If you need to adjust the shape of the starfish a bit, use a toothpick.

Fold a paper clip into a "V" shape. Put the ends of a paper clip into the glue at the end of one arm of the starfish, this is your hanger.

Sprinkle the glue with sand or glitter.

Let it dry completely (this takes at least overnight - sometimes longer). You can speed up the process by placing a fan near your project, and making many at one time.

Cut the waxpaper backing of the dried starfish apart to make peeling the waxpaper off one starfish one at a time easier.

Now, you have a starfish to wear, or decorate with...making starfish in advance will allow your creative juices to flow with anticipation of the next rainy day!! ( remember not to get your starfish wet or it will return to it's gooey gluey sticky pre-dried state)
